WHO ARE THESE RESOURCES FOR?

If you're traveling or moving to China in the near future, these resources are for you. I have personally worked with each of these companies and in some cases even negotiated discount codes that you can use to save some money!

BEFORE YOU GO: CHINA RESOURCES

Passport Visa Express - China Visas

There are tons of China visa services out there but this is the one that me and my family have used time and again. They're reliable and incredibly helpful throughout the process. Best of all, you can use the code "TCC10" to get 10% off their service fees!

Ctrip - Get Cheap China Flights

Ask most any expat here in China and they'll tell you that they buy their China flight tickets through Ctrip. It's cheaper than foreign companies and they have English-speaking phone support in case you have problems. Definitely give them a try.

China Travel Insurance - Protect Yourself

I can tell you from experience that travel insurance never seems like a waste of money...until you need to use it. Don't take the risk, though. Just spend a few extra dollars for the peace of mind. I've used World Nomads in the past and they've been great.

ExpressVPN - Stay Connected

As you probably already know, sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Gmail are blocked here in China. Express VPN is one of the best (and easiest!) services to use in order to stay connected during your stay in China.

China Highlights - Train Travel

If you plan on doing any train travel in China, I highly recommend you check out China Highlights. You can see up-to-the-minute schedules and fares...all in English. They have a great phone app and can even deliver the tickets directly to your hotel or hostel!

China Hotels - Stay Comfortable

While many of the services I've already mentioned above also offer hotel booking, I use Agoda because they have the largest selection of good hotels. The service is easy to use and I've never had a problem with my bookings...not just in China but internationally.

China Hostels - Stay Cheap

For those China budget travelers who care less about comfort and more about saving money, Hostelworld is my recommendation for finding the best places to stay in China. They have great pictures, reviews and helpful tidbits about each location.
